Peabody award-winning Wendy Calhoun’s unique career spans one-hour dramas, unscripted series, VR, and gaming. Currently, she serves as Co-Executive Producer for the ABC’s The Rookie: Feds, an exciting spin-off starring Neicy Nash set to premiere this September 2022. In addition, she’s developing three new series for FX, Peacock, and Starz. Her scripted drama credits include Co-Executive Producing and writing the historic first season of FBC’s Empire and debut seasons of Prodigal Son, Station 19, Nashville, Revenge, and Justified. Known as a champion for diversity and inclusion, Calhoun’s developed and sold ten series pitches with bold leading roles for women and people of color since 2015. She’s a frequent guest speaker for the National Academy of Sciences, Film Independent, USC’s John Wells School Division of Writing for Screen and Television. She serves on the Austin Film Festival Uplifting Storytellers Initiative Advisory Committee, and is a senior board advisor for Legendary Venture Capital and Black Magic Collective. She loves gardening, biking, golfing and playing Texas Hold ’em with her family during her precious time relaxing.
