Kristofer Updike

Vice President, Kids Programming, Peacock Kids

As Vice President of Development for Peacock Kids and the NBC Content group, Kristofer Updike works to create and develop new animated, scripted and unscripted projects including pilots, animation tests and original concepts. Updike’s creativity and deep understanding of kid’s content are invaluable in continuously re-envisioning the way kids consume content, all while staying true to Peacock’s timely and timeless drive for original content. Kristofer has been instrumental in creating several series for multiple platforms from Sprout, Universal Kids to Peacock Kids. Most notably “The Chica Show,” “Terrific Trucks,” “Norman Picklestripes,” and more recently “Create The Escape” and the preschool animated series “Babble Bop!”

Additionally, he spearheaded the development of “Astroblast,” “The Floogals,” “Nina’s World,” “Get Out Of My Room,” “The Noise,” “Beat The Clock,” and “The Big Fun Crafty Show.” Kristofer worked alongside his team to create DIY/competition scripted series for both Universal Kids and Peacock Kids. As part of the move into this genre, he developed “Backyard Blowout” which is now streaming on Peacock.

Prior to his current role at Peacock Kids and NBC Content group, Updike was the Sr. Manager of Development for Sprout. Previously, he was VP of Production for Bix Pix Entertainment. Before joining Bix Pix, Kristofer was an Associate Designer with Town and Country Living in Manhattan. Updike received his Masters of Fine Arts from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University and his Bachelor of Arts with a triple major in Theatre/Film/Art from Albright College.
