CEO of Gengirl Media, Executive Producer of Nickelodeon’s Middle School Moguls

Gina Heitkamp is a seasoned entrepreneur with a passion for building and commercializing brands. In 2014, Gina co-founded Gengirl Media with her sister, Jenae Heitkamp, a child therapist. Their goal was to create a children’s media and toy company that would inspire kids across multiple platforms.

The company’s initial product line was a line of books and dolls to promote entrepreneurship and technology learning for girls 6-10. The Middle School Moguls brand went on to be sold in Target stores nation-wide and was recently turned into a miniseries by Nickelodeon animation. Gina and Jenae serve as executive producers of the series, which stars such amazing talent as Jane Lynch, Tim Gunn and Laurie Hernandez. The miniseries aired in September of this year, earning rave reviews for its inspirational themes, and its diversity and inclusion.

As Middle School Moguls continues to grow, Gengirl Media is also developing several new media and toy projects, with one in the final stages of development. Gengirl Media is located in Long Beach, California, where Gina also resides with her husband Mike, a marketing executive; their baby boy Jonah and their pet bunny.
