Director of Programs, NextFifty Initiative

Chandra Matthews is the director of programs at NextFifty Initiative, a private foundation dedicated to funding mission-driven initiatives that improve the lives of the older adult population and their caregivers. In her role, Chandra is responsible for providing overall direction of the Foundation’s funding program and promoting the mission of NextFifty Initiative by cultivating ideas for funding and identifying needs and interests in the area of aging that ultimately benefit older adults and challenge the way people think about aging.

Chandra has over twenty years leadership experience within human service organizations focused on improving the lives of older adults and people with disabilities through public and private programs. Recently her work has focused on strategic planning, program development and establishing innovative business practices for improved service delivery. Chandra is most passionate about ensuring older adults live with dignity and respect while maintaining a good quality of life and a strong connection to their community.
