Cameron Espinoza

Cameron Espinoza is a Senior Researcher at the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media (GDIGM). Her primary focus is on GDIGM’s qualitative research analysis and design. Cameron completed her PhD coursework in Political Science at New York University and the University of Delaware. Her research focus was on the political effects of felon re-enfranchisement in the United States. Before pursuing her PhD, Cameron completed her Master’s degree in Politics and IR at Selwyn College, University of Cambridge in the UK and her B.A. in English Literature and Political Science at the University of Southern California. Outside academia, Cameron is a committed educational activist, having worked as an elementary school teacher in the Mission District of San Francisco and a counselor for the SEEK program at CUNY. She lives with her cat in Brooklyn.
