Becca Topol

Series Developer/Story Editor
Becca Topol developed and currently serves as story editor on Disney Junior’s animated series Mira, Royal Detective, which follows Mira, a young girl who travels throughout the magical Indian-inspired land of Jalpur solving mysteries for her friends, family and extended community. She will also serve as co-producer on season two.
A writer of both film and television series, Topol’s writing credits include Disney Junior’s Emmy® and Imagen Award-winning Elena of Avalor, Psycho-In-Law, Wicked Mom’s Club, Barbie and the Pink Shoes: Land of the Sweets, and the live-action feature film The Ramen Girl, which is inspired by her experience living in Tokyo and eating at the neighborhood ramen shop. Before becoming a writer, she served as a development executive for Fox TV Studios.
After growing up in the suburbs of Washington, D.C., Topol earned a law degree from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in East Asian studies and Japanese language from Brown University. She is fluent in Japanese.
Topol currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter.
