Allen Galeon

Caregiver; Worker Leader, Pilipino Workers Center; Former Care Fellow, Caring Across Generations

Allen Galeon is a Worker-Leader at the Pilipino Workers Center (PWC) of Southern California. He engages in campaigns to uplift the lives of domestic workers statewide and nationally. In 2021, he actively participated in lobbying for CA SB 321, the creation of an advisory committee to recommend policies to protect domestic workers, and provide health and safety guidance to educate employers and employees in the industry. This worker protection bill was signed by Gov. Newsom in September.

Allen Galeon was a 2020 Care Fellow in the Caring Across Generations (CAG) network. He has completed a year-long collaboration with a multi-racial, intergenerational cohort of caregiver activists in changing the way caregiving is seen, valued, and supported in this nation.

Presently, Allen Galeon serves as a Fellow within the National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA)’s inaugural PopCulture Residency. He is actively collaborating with the Culture Change team in thinking through how we use, create and develop stories and other immersive narrative experiences to spark profound shifts in how people think, feel, and behave in the world.

Allen Galeon from Los Angeles is an experienced Home Care Worker, a warmhearted family caregiver, and a proud father to his 6-year old son.
